Magnets

This term we are learning about magnets.

Our big questions are...
  1. Where is magnetism and how is it used?
  2. Why is magnetism important to us?

Here are some activities you can try and some videos to watch.  Share your experiences with a friend and be sure to present what you learn in some way.  As you watch and do some of these activities you may come up with some questions.  You could write them in the comment box at the bottom of this page or add them to our "magnet padlet" below by double clicking on it.

Try making an electromagnet.  Having an adult around to help would be a good idea. Read the instructions carefully.

Can you make this work?  What do you need?

Try this experiment.
